Restaurant Ho Guom: Reviews & Ratings
I think it’s the best Pho I had, the broth is delicious, the flavour is right. We had the grilled chicken and the beef. If your craving a delicious and comforting Pho, this is the place. The staff is super and the restaurant is super clean. Love it !!
Excellent spicy soup with fried caramari and snails; the soup is tomato based; delicious!
I’ve been 3 times now since their opening and it’s always been delicious! I’ve had the beef pho twice (excellent broth that you can actually taste the spices in!) and I recently had the grilled chicken, beef and shrimp plate. Fresh, flavourful and good value for money. The atmosphere is nice and the service is courteous. I’ll be coming back regularly!
Such a good find on the South Shore! These two dishes are not commonly on the menu in Vietnamese restaurants: Bún chả Hà Nội and Bún ốc. Bún chả Hà Nội (forgot to take a photo) was an insane discovery for me: smoky, freshly grilled pork, served with rice vermicelli and a big plate of herbs. You dip everything into a sweet and savory fish-sauce broth, and every bite tastes light, fragrant, and super satisfying. Bún ốc was equally memorable in a totally different way: a comforting bowl of rice noodles in a tangy, tomato-based broth with snails. It’s bright, slightly sour, and refreshing rather than heavy, especially with the herbs and garnishes mixed in. If you’re craving something beyond the usual phở and bánh mì, this is definitely worth trying.
My friends and I came here for lunch, and it was our first visit. We were very impressed with the decor as well as the spacious seating arrangements. We ordered the S1 (bún chả hà nội), X8 (gà xào gùng), and X13-B (bò xào basilic). The portions are generous without being excessive. The taste of each dish came through clearly without being overpowering. You know the food is excellent when 3 normally very talkative people are eating in complete silence. The service was also impeccable! The wait staff was attentive to our needs (orders confirmed and taken quickly, water refilled quietly and frequently, etc).
famous restaurant for many years in Montreal, Canada. Now, it has opened a new branch at 3605 Boulevard Taschereau. Still the pure dishes, true to the taste of northern Vietnam. Today, the new branch is more spacious, the decoration style is more beautiful and clean. If you are a lover of Vietnamese dishes, this is a place not to be missed. Congratulations to Ho Guom Restaurant
I enjoyed everything here better than in their Montreal location. The escargot noodle soup is a must! The grilled fish with dill (Chả cá Lã Vọng) is super tasty and not dry.
First time eating inside Ho Guom and we definitely ate well. Really great service, atmosphere and food. Good portion and quality of food. Definitely will be back!
